Teaching With a Touch of Honey is owned by Regier Educational Resources in Nova Scotia, Canada. Your privacy matters to me. This page explains what information I collect, why I collect it, and how I keep it safe.

What I collect

Information you give me

Your first name, last name, and email address when you sign up for a free resource, the Writing Roadmap, the Roadmap Quiz, or my emails.
Your quiz answers, so I can send you the right results and ideas.
Anything you write to me when you send an email or use the contact form.

Information collected automatically

Basic website data, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your browser type, and the general area you're visiting from.
Email data, such as whether you open an email or click a link.

I never collect payment details on this website. I sell all paid resources on Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT), and TpT handles your payment.

How I use your information

To send you the free resources you asked for.
To email you teaching ideas, new resources, freebies, and sales.
To answer your questions.
To understand which pages and resources are most helpful, so I can improve the site.

I will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Emails and your consent

I only email you if you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can leave my list at any time with one click. I follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

The tools I use

I use trusted services to run this website. They only get the information they need to do their job.

Wix: hosts this website and collects basic site data.
Kit: stores my email list and sends my emails.
Teachers Pay Teachers: sells my paid resources. TpT has its own privacy policy.
Analytics and ad tools: Wix Analytics, Google Analytics, the Pinterest tag, and the Meta Pixel help me see how people find the site.

Some of these services store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Your information may be protected by the laws of those countries.

Cookies

Cookies are small files saved in your browser. They help the website work and show me how people use it. You can accept or decline cookies in the banner when you first visit. You can also turn cookies off in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

This website is for teachers and other adults. It is not meant for children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

I use secure, trusted services and only keep your information as long as I need it. No website can promise perfect security, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.

You can ask me to:

Show you the information I have about you.
Fix information that is wrong.
Delete your information.
Remove you from my email list.
